Are the nails you are using stainless steel or galvanized? I had a customer that just wanted all of the exterior nails to be stainless steel, makes sense to stop the rust bleed on the walls eventually. I was thinking, those big giant walls of black would look neat with a RR buildings HQ logo done into the batten strips. If done well, most people would hardly notice it other than it being a design that breaks the continuity of a giant black wall, upon looking closer they would notice the RR HQ done in the design. Hope you understand that thought.

Work smarter, not harder

Seems strange to not flash behind the siding and over the window and door trim. You are now totally dependent on a caulk joint.

Do you know how many fixings (nails/screws etc) in teh whole building. You must have a clue when you know how many tour purchased. I'm guessing 285k

I thought you needed to install a rain screen behind B&B siding?

LP SmartSide was involved in a class action lawsuit over its earlier versions. What did they do to correct the issues in the material you use, and are you satisfied it will last as long as intended?

If you think it's straight, you better check again. Me.

You know you'll be painting that whole building in less than 10 years. Smartside prefinish is not very good. I'm painting my house this summer. The sides that are in the sun look terrible.
